Frequently asked questions
What can we play with friends at home without a console?
Try PadConsole: open padconsole.com on a computer connected to the TV and have everyone scan the QR code with their phone. Out of 27 games, good starters are IMPOSTOR: Last Word, KARMA or The Bill for 4–8 player bluffing, Quiz Arena for trivia with up to 12 players, and Pad Racer, Poly Gol 3D or Pad Kombat for head-to-head competition.
Is PadConsole free?
Yes, it is free to start and no account is required. There is a weekly free allowance and rotating free games of the week. An optional Premium subscription unlocks unlimited access to the whole catalog.
Do we need gamepads or a console?
No. Every player's phone is the controller. It runs in the phone's browser; installing the app is optional.
How many people can play?
Between 1 and 12 depending on the game. Quiz Arena supports up to 12; IMPOSTOR, KARMA, The Bill, Crack, Pixel Battle and STRIKE A POSE! up to 8.
Can friends in different homes play together?
Yes. With friend rooms each home opens its own screen while the game picture and voice chat are shared. Most games support remote play.
Does it work on a smart TV?
Any smart TV with a modern browser can open padconsole.com. For the smoothest experience, connect a computer over HDMI or cast the screen.
Is it like Jackbox or AirConsole?
The idea is similar: phones are controllers and the game is on a shared screen. PadConsole opens in the browser, does not require buying game packs and runs in English, Turkish and German.
Is it suitable for kids?
Most games are rated 3+ or 7+. Horror and fighting games are marked 12+ or 16+; every game page lists its age rating.
